E-Tree Award Nominations

Do you know of a great local project that has demonstrated an exceptional effort with growing and improving trees, landscaping or natural areas? Why don’t you nominate them for an Edmond E-Tree Award! The Urban Forestry Commission’s E-Tree Awards are just around the corner, and we are on the lookout for local projects exhibiting commendable efforts in the categories of Outstanding Urban Forest Enhancement, Outstanding Urban Forest Preservation, and Outstanding Urban Forestry Support.

Each E-Tree Award winner is recognized at the City Council meeting during Arbor Week in March and presented with a special hand-carved trophy to commemorate their efforts. Individuals, groups and businesses are eligible for nomination, and the project must have taken place within Edmond City limits. This program is a great way to recognize exemplary efforts that place value on Edmond’s important natural resources and the heritage of our landscape.

Past winners include development projects with exemplary tree preservation dedications or tree planting plans that far exceeded what was required for their site. We have also recognized community groups who have contributed to improving the urban forest or urban forestry programs. These are just examples, and the scope of possible award winning projects is broad.

Anyone can make a nomination! To place a nomination or to find out what qualifies a project for an award, view the Edmond E-Tree Awards web page.
