This year, CNN Money Magazine set out to find America’s best small city (population 50,000 to 300,000). Using data from Onboard Informatics and other sources, they identified locations with economics strength, quality health care, low crime, great schools and lots to do. Then reporters visited 29 top-scoring places to assess what the numbers can’t tell you---whether a town is a true community.

On Monday, CNN Money Magazine released its top 100 “Best Places to Live” in America for 012, ranking Edmond as 73rd. Edmond was not the only Oklahoma metro that made the list, others included Broken Arrow, 69th, Moore, 77th and Norman, 92nd.

“Edmond is in a great location with easy access to Oklahoma City. We have good climate, reasonable cost of living and quality schools, including private and higher education opportunities. There are numerous sports options with high quality parks and recreation facilities. We have a safe community, with a historical look and feel for a thriving Downtown,” said Mayor Charles Lamb.
