Beginning on Monday, January 23rd, contractors will install 99 designated ADA-compliant bus stops along Citylink routes throughout Edmond. This work is scheduled to last 180 calendar days with cooperative weather.
“One of the key reasons for installing bus stops is to assist with traffic flow,” said Susan Miller, Public Transit Coordinator. “The designated stops for pickup and drop-off should eliminate some of the traffic issues caused previously by frequent and unstructured stops.”
During installation, residents should expect temporary lane closures to allow for the pouring of concrete. Parathon Construction is the contractor for the project with a total cost of $226,362.
