Work to resurface two one-mile sections on Edmond Road and Kelly Avenue is slated to begin Tuesday, June 30th. The project is expected to take approximately five weeks with cooperative weather.
The first specific area to be resurfaced is Edmond Road from Santa Fe Avenue to Kelly Avenue. That will be followed by resurfacing on Kelly Avenue from Edmond Road to 15th Street.
The roadway will remain open during this time, but traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to find an alternate route if possible. Access to side streets and driveways along the roadway will always be available during this work.
This resurfacing is part of the scheduled 2019-20 Mill & Overlay projects for the City of Edmond. T.J. Campbell Construction is the contractor for these projects with a total cost of $2,135,325.
