Two changes are coming next week when it comes to the cleanup process from the October ice storm. One change will be permanent while one change is temporary.
First, the drop off site located at Hafer Park will cease debris collection at 6 pm on Wednesday, November 25. Residents can still take advantage of this option until that time. At its conclusion, the site will have served over 5,000 vehicle loads during its three weeks of operation.
Second, the curbside pickup of ice storm debris will pause during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend to allow contractors the opportunity to be with family. There will be no curbside collection from Thursday, November 26 through Sunday, November 30. Crews will resume their city-wide efforts on Monday, November 30.
