City Youth Programs
The City of Edmond takes pride in promoting next generation leadership and embracing the ideas of the future leaders of our city. On this Youth Programs page you have the opportunity to learn and apply for some of the programs that we offer our community’s young people to be involved.
By applying for an appointment on a Board or Commission you will have the opportunity to be a voting member allowing you to give your energy and unique perspective, to real issues affecting the City.
Edmond Youth Council is your opportunity to learn how the City of Edmond works. You will meet City officials that make the daily decisions that affect your City. You will also have the opportunity to learn and act as a part of City Council in your own Mock City Council Meeting. In addition you and your fellow Youth Council members will have the opportunity to present an issue of your choosing to the Mayor and Council to accept.
Make a difference with Edmond Involved! The Mayor is excited to announce the creation of Edmond Involved Teen Board, an idea that is joining force with fellow forward thinking cities such as Houston and L.A. to honor our student volunteers and their talents. The purpose of Edmond Involved is to innovate new ways of getting Edmond’s young people more involved in our community-whether it is planting trees or mentoring younger students.
