Include your name and phone number, and we will try to contact you as soon as dates are set for the next recruitment period. Applicants must be able to meet the minimum qualifications, as listed below, at the time of the recruitment process.
Minimum Qualifications for Police Officers:
- You must be at least 21 years of age.
- You must be in good physical condition.
- You must be a United States citizen.
- You must have successfully completed one of the following:
- 60 or more hours of college credit hours (or will have completed by June 1, 2007) with a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- OR completed a minimum of 30 hours of college credit (or will have completed by June 1, 2007) with a GPA of 2.0 or higher & 2 years prior *police experience.
- OR completed a minimum of 30 hours of college credit (or will have completed by June 1, 2007) with a GPA of 2.0 or higher & 4 years prior military experience with a discharge under honorable conditions.
- You must have or be able to obtain an Oklahoma State Driver's License.
- You must have a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier.
- You must have an excellent history of personal conduct, behavior and employment.
- You must have basic knowledge of computer use.
Law enforcement experience must have been on a full-time basis. Part-time or reserve status does not apply towards experience. Military experience will not be considered as police experience.
