Storybook Forest Opens on October 23

Children Meet Characters from Classic Tales on Tree-lined Trails

Arcadia Lake's Storybook Forest opens October 23 and is fun, family alternative to frightening Halloween activities. Storybook Forest lets children meet the characters in the scenes from their favorite fables.

Storybook Forest is geared for children ten and under. It includes a tree-lined trail for children to walk where they collect treats and visit scenes from classic stories and rhymes including the Three Little Pigs and the Little Old Lady Who Lived in a Shoe. Characters such as Clifford and Peter Rabbit will be on the trail to greet children.

Other activities include listening to the reading of classic stories and nursery rhymes, a hayride, bag toss and games. There will be campfires for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows that are available to purchase at the site.

Children can wear costumes or dress in warm, casual clothing. Admission is $5 per child and parents are free. Hours are 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. nightly through Halloween.

Storybook Forest is located in Arcadia Lake's Spring Creek Park, two and half miles east of I-35 on 15th Street in Edmond.
