Do you have to be an Edmond resident to get into Pelican Bay?
No, daily general admission is open to the public. Edmond Residents who purchased a season pass the previous year may purchase a current season pass beginning March 31st. Edmond residents wanting to purchase passes for the first time may do so beginning April 1st. Edmond residents must provide proof of residency by bringing an Edmond Utility bill. Sales to non-Edmond residents begin May 15th. Season pass sales will be at the MAC in Mitch Park from March 31st - opening day. All season passes are individually sold, cannot be purchased on-line and are valid from Memorial Day to Labor Day of the year purchased.
Can Pelican Bay be reserved for parties?
Yes, the cabana may be rented out during regularly scheduled public swim times seven days a week, for birthday parties. For private parties, Pelican Bay can be rented out on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.
Does Pelican Bay offer lockers?
Lockers are available in each of the cabana bathhouse and locks maybe rented for a fee at the front entrance of Pelican Bay.
Are towels provided or do guests bring their own?
We do not provide towels, but we do have Pelican Bay towels for sale.
Is there any place to get food and beverage at Pelican Bay?
Yes, the Pelican Bay Café offers a variety of items to satisfy any appetite and quench any thirst.
Can guests bring their own food and drinks into Pelican Bay?
Because Pelican Bay is concerned about your safety, glass containers, coolers, ice chests as well as food and beverages of any kind are not permitted inside the park. Bottles brought into the water park for an infant must be plastic. For guest convenience, the Pelican Bay Café is available for food and beverage purchase.
Are there changing areas available at Pelican Bay?
Yes, we have two family changing rooms equipped with changing tables and showers as well as our two cabana bathhouses.
What about water safety? Are there lifeguards?
We are concerned about the safety and security of all guests. Certified lifeguard staff will be on duty during normal operating hours. Safety rules are posted throughout the water park. Nevertheless, we urge parents to teach their children about water safety prior to visiting the water park.
Are non-swimmers allowed?
Yes, however, non-swimmers must be within an arms reach of a parent, guardian, grandparent, or a family member that is 16 years of age or older. Non-swimmers are not permitted on the slides or any area where the child cannot touch the bottom of the pool. Swimmers with lifejackets are still required to stay in shallow waters and lifejackets are NOT allowed on the slides.
Does Pelican Bay provide life jackets?
A limited stock of lifejackets are available from the lifeguard office. Pelican Bay only allows coast guard approved lifejackets in the facility.
Are swimming goggles permitted?
Goggles are permitted in all areas except for the slides and diving board.
Is there an arcade or game room in the water park?
Because our focus is on water fun, we don't have an arcade or game room at Pelican Bay.
Are children that wear regular diapers permitted in the water park?
Swim diapers, such as "Huggies Swimmers" must be worn under the child's swim suit for health and safety reasons. If you do not have a swim diaper, some are available at the Pelican Bay front desk. Disposable and cloth diapers are not permitted. Please use the changing facilities located in the cabana bathhouses or family changing rooms to change diapers and dispose all diapers in the appropriate trash cans.
