What are Edmond's curfew hours for minors?

According to Ordinance # 08.52.010 the curfew hours for minors in Edmond are from 12:01 a.m. on any Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, until 6 a.m. of the same day.  If processed through the Juvenile Justice Municipal Court, there's a bond of $200 plus $44 costs for those who violate the curfew hours.

Can I reset my court date over the telephone?

Resetting of a court date is determined by the type of charge against you and the status of the case, call (405) 359-4360 for status.

Can my trial be continued to another date?

Requests for continuance are granted based on the Judge’s discretion.  Letter of request or motion to continue must be filed with the Court prior to the trial date.

Can I mail or fax in proof of insurance or proof of valid drivers license?

Yes, if insurance coverage or driver’s license was in effect at the time of the ticket.

What happens if I fail to appear in court or fail to pay a traffic ticket?

If a ticket remains unpaid more than 15 days after a scheduled court date, a warrant will be issued and a request for suspension of your driver's license may be made to the Department of Public Safety.

What makes me eligible for the 90-day deferred sentence?

The City Prosecutor's office verifies eligibility status.  You may contact the Court for the status of eligibility approximately 10 days after issuance of the ticket.
