Emergency Management
Edmond's Emergency Management is focused on promoting and providing public safety in our community. Our planning is toward one goal: that our community will be prepared for dealing with the affects of disaster, whether man-made or natural. We do this through:
- vulnerability assessments
- resource identification
- coordination and response plans
- activities involving multiple agencies and organizations
We also provide public education and planning assistance for a variety of Emergency Management activities, such as:
- severe weather surveys
- evacuation and relocation plans
- personal planning/preparation
- site-specific assessments of various hazards
We are dedicated to insuring coordination and resources in the time of need. Whether it is pre-emergency planning, training, or other educational opportunities, severe weather monitoring, or discussing personal protection and shelter issues, we are here to help.
