Due to COVID-19 Precautions, Our Office is Currently Closed to the Public.
  • Permits and licensing can be submitted via e-mail.
  • Payments for permits and licensing, will be accepted via telephone by calling 405-359-4780.
  • Inspections will not be scheduled for HVAC and Hot Water Tank change-outs until further notice.
  • Inspections for Commercial and Residential occupied spaces can be scheduled and will be inspected at the inspector’s discretion at the site. 
  • In the event of an emergency, for required inspections and permits, please call 405-359-4780.
Due to staffing issues, the City of Edmond Building & Fire Code Services will be prioritizing inspections based on critical health and life safety needs.

This includes, but is not limited to, hospitals, government buildings, emergency repairs for residences, final inspections for residents, etc. This will cause an extended delay for some inspections.

We understand this may pose an inconvenience to our builders and are offering additional options for your inspections. We will be accepting letters from approved third party individuals and entities. This includes any State Licensed Architect, State Licensed Engineer, Construction Inspection/Testing Agency or State Licensed Construction Inspector licensed in the trade area to be inspected.

Permits are still required for all work in accordance with the 2015 ICC codes.
