  1. Smart Irrigation Month - Smart Irrigation Technology

    In order to ensure Edmond maintains a healthy supply of water for the future, the City of Edmond Water Resources Department has partnered with the Oklahoma State University (OSU) Cooperative Extension Service to develop educational outreach to our residents promoting outdoor water conservation. Beginning in April, a series of FREE classes on various outdoor water conservation topics will be available to Edmond water customers. These classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Downtown Community Center (28 E. Main) in room 207. Smart Irrigation Month – Smart irrigation technology: July 18, 3pm Smart irrigation technology can help homeowners to apply the right amount of water to their landscape and maximize system efficiency. The workshop will discuss smart irrigation controllers, soil moisture sensors, rain/freeze sensors, and pressure reducing spray heads.

  1. Upstage Theatre presents Once Upon a Mattress

    Musical retelling of the fairy tale-Princess and the Pea (with a twist!)An overbearing Queen won’t allow anyone in the kingdom to marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, finds a suitable wife. Sir Harry and Lady Larken discover Larken is expecting, so time is of the essence. Sir Harry finds Princess Winnifred-your atypical princess who charms the Prince and the kingdom with her quirky personality. The Queen puts Winnifred through several tests to quash the match. Ultimately ending with the pea under several layers of mattresses.Features additional supporting characters-the Queen’s husband the King (silent-since he is under a curse), a dancing jester, a traveling singing Minstrel, the Queen’s trusted confidante the Wizard, and a whole kingdom of knights and ladies.

  5. Arcadia Lake Triathlon

The race starts with the swim: a 500 yd triangle loop swim, a beach run , then another 500 yd loop, before heading out on the hilly and technical 20 mile bike course, and finishing off with two out and backs on the hilly 2 mile run course!
